Learning at St. Teresa’s Shining Stars:
Kindergarten consists of three sections:
- Pre Nursery – Age group 3-4 years
- LKG- Age group of 4-5 years
- UKG – Age group of 5-6 years
The method of teaching we fallow in kindergarten builds thinking skills and problem solving confidence in children. The entire programme of kindergarten is child centred which follows a play way and activity approach. Children explore and work in large groups, small groups, and independently through teacher-directed and child-initiated activities.
Students have ample opportunity to nurture their skills and talents as the school provides a plethora of hobby based activities for the tiny-tots of kindergarten like drawing, Painting ,Vegetable printing. These activities develop children’s creativity, fantasy and taste.

The emphasis is on nurturing the connection between home and school, society adjusting, and learning in an environment planned to encourage discovery, independence, the imagination, and social interaction. To provide our students with an opportunity to expand their horizons and an existing skill or talent, various programmes like Fancy dress, Sports and Games, Kindergarten Convocation day are held.
Kindergarten Day:
A typical kindergarten day begins at 9:00am with circle time designed to enhance a child’s natural instincts to question, discover and participate in the world around them. In the first half of the day students develop their Literacy, math skills and Environmental Science. Later in the day they enjoy Environmental Science, PE and connect what they know about their environment.
